America's second oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.

Slot technicians troubleshoot and fix improperly functioning slot machines. Machines need to be kept in proper operating condition to avoid downtime, which may result in a loss of revenue for the casino.

• Safeguard the confidential information of all department and company records and assets.
• Monitors slot activities for adherence to company policies and various gaming regulatory requirements.
• Consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees.
• Repair and maintain machines to ensure minimal downtime and proper functioning of all slot machines and other electronic gaming devices.
• Respond promptly to calls on the casino floor, diagnose causes of malfunctions and failures and take immediate appropriate action.
• Performs preventative maintenance on slot machines on a scheduled basis.
• Maintain a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
• Responsible for handling all install, relocation, conversion, and initial set-up and check out of slot machines.
• Perform all other duties, as assigned.

3-5 years of experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff.

Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regards to the implementation of current duties.
