This vacancy is located at the Office of Motor Vehicles, Leesville office in Vernon Parish.
Incumbent serves as the Motor Vehicle Office Manager of a smaller-sized field office, providing services related to motor vehicle operator's licenses, identification cards, motor vehicle titling, registration, and reinstatement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent plus five years of experience or training in any field.
- Experience Substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university substitutes for one year of experience, up to a maximum of four years.
- Special Requirements: May be required to possess a current Louisiana driver's license at the time of appointment.

Job Duties include:
- Maintaining good public relations with the public, officials, lenders, dealers, notaries, etc.
- Interviewing applicants, training new employees, counseling, and recommending disciplinary actions.
- Maintaining employee records and performing duties related to issuing driver's licenses, vehicle registrations, titles, and reinstatements.
- Administering road tests, reviewing documentation, and collecting fees.
- Overseeing office operations, security, deposits, and handling customer inquiries and complaints.
- Managing staff work, compiling reports, and ensuring transaction accuracy.
Position-Specific Details:
This promotional opportunity is limited to permanent classified employees of the Louisiana Department of Public Safety, Office of Motor Vehicles.
Appointment Type: Promotional classified position.
