Federal Police Officer (Uniformed Division) $50,000 Recruitment Incentive

Join the U.S. Secret Service as a Federal Police Officer (Uniformed Division) with a $50,000 recruitment incentive.

This position is based in Washington, DC, and relocation is required. The base pay range is $75,134.00/yr - $/yr.

Recruitment Incentive: A $50,000 recruitment incentive is available in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Duties:

• Provide protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies in the Washington, D.C. area.
• Travel in support of the Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
• Enforce mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
• Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time of conditional offer of employment.
• Carry and use a firearm, and maintain firearm proficiency.
• Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular and corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear in the 500, 1000, and 2000 Hz ranges.
• Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing while occupying the position.
• Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center.
• Certify registration with the Selective Service System or exemption, if applicable.
