Job description details align with Saipem’s activities and the requirements for managing health services on large operating units or complex projects.

• Implement health management systems on large operating units or complex projects by ensuring optimum health management and continuous assessment, monitoring, and safeguarding of employees’ health.
• Ensure medical coverage for employees, including an effective medical emergency management chain.
• Improve health service delivery through audits and inspections.
• Communicate directly with functional and hierarchical superiors on health and medical issues.
• Implement relevant documents and contractual requirements related to health and medical issues.
• Elaborate, revise, and manage project-specific health-related documents.
• Ensure operational status of Program GIPSI (or equivalent) and that all medical services are recorded.
• Ensure Program PSS is operational; plan strategic health care to guarantee desired service with controlled and optimal cost.
• Equip medical facilities with equipment, consumables, and medicines and ensure adequate stock using Medicines Management software.
• Carry out preventive health activities, assess health risks, and conduct immunization programs and substance abuse control initiatives.
• Provide and/or assure medical support for all project employees and sites.
• Supervise, monitor, and audit medical facilities and health management systems of major subcontractors; extend to minor subcontractors’ employees.
• Ensure 24/7/365 health curative activities at operating sites.
• Carry out daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual health administrative activities; maintain contacts with operations leadership to plan health initiatives.
• Create a First Aid Team, develop MEDEVAC plans, and test through drills; organize first aid equipment distribution across locations.
• Manage medical waste according to standards and local laws; promote corporate prevention programs at project sites.

• Languages: English required;
  Portuguese is a big plus.
