Position - Imaging Engineer II
The Imaging Engineer II installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, calibrates, and verifies the performance of complex medical imaging equipment including, but not limited to, general radiographic rooms, R/F, portables, C-arms, mammography, Nuclear Medicine, CR, DR, ultrasound, bone density, and supporting equipment. The role requires familiarity with many classes of clinical equipment and may involve maintenance outside these areas. The Imaging Engineer ensures regulatory compliance, assists in inventory management, and may advise Tri Medx personnel on technical matters concerning specialty equipment.

Responsibilities
Technical Service – 40%
- Perform performance assurance (PA) inspections, scheduled maintenance, and operation verification procedures (OVP) on complex medical imaging equipment
- Repair, install, and calibrate complex medical imaging equipment
- Inform supervisors of repair status, scheduled inspections, unusual equipment situations, and customer concerns
- Coordinate and document activities of subcontractors, vendors, and outside service technicians to ensure proper service delivery
- Maintain Clinical Engineering expertise through ongoing training and education
- Support Service Operations Special Projects and mentor others by sharing expertise
Regulatory Compliance – 25%
- Maintain accuracy of the equipment database (inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, service history)
- Adhere to the Medical Equipment Management Plan (MEMP) and other regulatory requirements
- Ensure service documentation is complete, timely, and accurate
- Collaborate with Medical Physicist to ensure aligned radiation outputs for regulatory compliance and patient safety
Account Relationship Management – 25%
- Build and maintain customer relationships
- Discuss equipment status and functionality with clinicians
- Align with the organization’s Mission, Vision, and Values
- Represent Tri Medx positively by integrating core values into performance
Inventory – 10%
- Conduct periodic inventory inspections and maintain common spare parts to ensure uptime
- Verify security analysis for new customer equipment
- Perform Incoming Inspections (II) to maintain accurate inventory of devices, including trial/evaluation, rental, and loaner equipment
- Maintain accuracy of the equipment database (inventory, PA schedules, nomenclature, service history)
- Recommend inventory improvements
All other duties as assigned
Skills and Experience
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and installation of medical imaging equipment
- Manual dexterity for installation, servicing, and maintenance tasks
- Physical ability to bend, crouch, kneel, climb, and maneuver equipment
- Proficiency with hand and/or foot-operated tools and electronic test equipment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid driver’s license; travel may be required depending on the primary site
Education and Qualifications
- 2-year technical/electronics degree or equivalent experience; waiver if TRIMEDX Trained Certification or equivalent biomedical certification is held
- Ability to interpret error codes, repair components, and manage computer systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel) and networking applications
- Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Travel may be required based on customer or business needs
