About This Role

This position provides individualized medical care of assigned patients in person, electronically and via telephone under the supervision of a licensed health care provider. The Medical Assistant supports patients and providers throughout visits, ensures patient questions are answered, prepares next appointment rooms, and completes documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Supports patients and providers throughout the patient visit.
  • Ensures the patient and provider are prepared for the visit.
  • Answers patient questions and prepares room for next appointment.
  • Provides excellent patient service through effective communication over the phone and in person.
  • Completes appropriate documentation including patient registration if necessary.
  • Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, training and credentials through personal professional development.
  • Adapts behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy and communication style.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; completion of a formal medical assistant training program preferred.
  • Medical Assistant Certification required.
  • BLS from the American Heart Association required.
  • Experience working with confidential information in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Clinical knowledge, proficiency in computer and web applications, effective verbal and written communication, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
