Safety Inspection Tech

Total Safety is looking for a Safety Inspection Technician to join their safety conscious team. The Safety Inspection Technician cleans and inspects supplied air equipment, masks, SCBA's, and 5‑minute escape pack.

Must have a current TWIC card.

• Ability to pass background and drug/alcohol test

• Greet customers and assist with customer inquiries
• Clean, inspect, and service safety equipment
• Fill breathing air cylinders
• Issue safety equipment to customers
• Build positive customer relationships
• Restock inventory and maintain accurate counts
• Abide by specific customer contract agreements
• Be on call as needed – some overtime, night shift, and weekend work required
• Perform other related duties as required

• Able to work in fast‑paced, self‑directed environment
• Strong customer service background
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Decision‑making, problem resolution and creative thinking skills
• Ability to multi‑task activities and shift priorities

• Physical demands:

Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Work environment:
  The employee may be exposed to conditions that require the use of protective equipment such as safety glasses with side shields and gloves. Temperature of the work area may be affected by outside temperatures. Noise level is usually minimal but may be greater when using equipment.
