Within the Nursing Department at ELMHS, Located in Jackson, LA
The Mission of ELMHS is to provide mental health evaluation, treatment, habilitation, and consultation for adults. Programs include inpatient interventions, jail-based evaluations, supervised group home and residential programs, forensic evaluation, care, custody, and aftercare; intermediate and long-term psychiatric services are coordinated with the total system of care in Louisiana
ELMHS is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and positive individual to join our team as a Program Monitor-LDH.
Experience Requirements:
- Five years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services;
- OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services;
- OR A bachelor’s degree plus two years of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services;
- OR An advanced degree or a Juris Doctorate plus one year of experience in developing, managing, or evaluating health or social service programs; or in public health, public relations, social services, health services, health regulation, or administrative services.
Experience Substitution: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Duties- Assist with compliance for Nursing and Nursing Security Policies, upload to SharePoint, and verify compliance against Joint Commission, Health Standards, and CMS.
- Review the flow of Nursing and Nursing-security.
- Restructure Nursing-Security, would assist with TJC, HSS, and CMS compliance.
- Develop and implement policy procedures.
- Monitor Nursing contracts for adherence to deliverables.
- Monitor service providers for compliance with federal/state guidelines.
- Assist with Time keeping, education and training support, Etc.
- Meet and maintain all pertinent CEUs, training requirements, and attendance expectations for any assigned class, committee or team meetings.
- Maintain compliance with PPD testing and other infection control/ employee health standards.
Appointment Type: WAE (When Actually Employed) - This is a part-time, temporary classified appointment.
