Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Cardiac Interventional Radiology role requiring neuro IR and scrub experience.

Details
  • Interventional Radiology and Special Procedures department
  • Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
  • On-call required with a 30-minute response time
  • Uses GE Innova IGS, Siemens, fluoroscopy, ultrasound, and CT equipment
  • Epic charting system required
  • Candidates must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's)
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years experience required; 1 year accepted if candidate has neuro IR and scrub experience
  • ARRT-R certification required, ARRT-VI preferred
  • BLS required, ACLS preferred
  • Scrub and neuro IR experience required
  • Skilled in venous access, central line care and maintenance, and vascular closure systems
  • Experience with angioplasty, embolization, stent placement, angiography, and related IR procedures
  • Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
  • License required if applicable
  • Compact or LA license in hand upon submission for RN candidates; allied health candidates may apply within 72 hours of signing
  • Driver's license and NURSYS report (RNs) required for consideration
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include procedural support, equipment setup, sterile field maintenance, and accurate patient monitoring during interventional procedures
  • Perform a wide range of vascular, genitourinary, abdominal/pelvic, and neurological interventional procedures
  • Maintain and stock equipment and supplies, and support PACS system use
  • Orientation held 5 days a week
  • May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring extended stay during declared emergency events
  • Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RNs not accepted)
  • Local candidates not accepted; must reside more than 65 miles from the facility
  • Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a one-year separation before returning as a traveler
  • All requested RTO must be listed on profile and discussed during interview
