STI Data Manager

Acadiana CARES in conjunction with the Louisiana Department of Health STI/HIV/Hepatitis Program is seeking candidates for the position of STI Surveillance Data Manager to oversee data management activities for the Louisiana Office of Public Health STI/HIV/Hepatitis (SHHP) Surveillance program.

• Adhere to the STD/HIV /Hepatitis Program Security and Confidentiality Policy and to HIP AA privacy rules.
• Maintain the quality of STI surveillance data.
• Engage in, and reimagine quality assurance protocols for STI surveillance data.
• Assist with the production of automated reports.
• Process labs and STI cases
• upload and enter data and complete missing information
• Assist with analysis and data requests on behalf of internal and external stakeholders.

• A Bachelor's degree and experience in Public Health or related field.
• Strong data management and analytical skills.
• Experience with MS Office Suite, as well as strong written and verbal skills.
• Preferred:
  Experience in the Public Health, or related field with professional experience working with public health data or electronic health records, SAS/STATA/R (or other statistical software) is preferred.
• Ability to work with people of diverse lifestyles required.
• Prior experience working in an STI service, STI prevention, healthcare, mental health, or substance abuse rehabilitation program preferred.
• Strong organizational skills.
