Job Summary

A local multi-location organization is seeking an HR Onboarding Specialist in Haughton, LA to support new-hire onboarding, employee documentation, HR systems, and communication across 7 locations in the U.S. This temp-to-hire opportunity is ideal for an organized HR professional who enjoys creating a smooth, welcoming, and compliant onboarding experience for new employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate new-hire onboarding, hiring documentation, and required employment paperwork.
  • Process I-9 and E-Verify documentation accurately and within required timelines.
  • Assist with tax forms, benefits enrollment, payroll deductions, and related HR documentation.
  • Communicate with new hires by phone and email, providing clear instructions and consistent follow-up.
  • Track outstanding paperwork and ensure onboarding requirements are completed on time.
  • Enter, update, and maintain confidential employee information in ATS and HRIS systems.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Pay: $17 to $19 per hour, based on experience.
  • Schedule:

    Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
  • Lunch: 30 minutes.
  • Hours:

    Work 37.5 hours per week and get paid for 40 hours.

Required Qualifications and Skills
  • Manage new-hire onboarding from initial documentation through completion.
  • Process I-9, E-Verify, tax, benefits, and payroll deduction paperwork.
  • Maintain accurate employee records in ATS and HRIS systems.
  • Provide timely communication and follow-up with new hires.
  • 1 to 2 years of HR or onboarding experience.
  • Experience using ATS and HRIS systems.
  • Knowledge of I-9, E-Verify, tax documents, benefits enrollment, and payroll deductions.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, including Gmail.
  • Strong email and telephone communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-up.
  • Ability to manage multiple new hires, deadlines, and documentation requirements at the same time.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting onboarding for a multi-location organization.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced HR, staffing, administrative, or business services environment.
  • Strong comfort level using digital onboarding tools and maintaining electronic employee records.
