AI Architect

Our client - leading jewellery company is seeking a seasoned AI Architect to lead and define the architecture and strategic direction for AI and machine learning initiatives. This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI ecosystem, focusing on developing robust, secure, and scalable AI capabilities. The AI Architect will work across teams to bring together best practices, industry trends, and emerging technologies, enabling the design and implementation of state‑of‑the‑art AI solutions tailored to our client’s unique retail environment.

Strategic Planning & Industry Alignment:
Stay abreast of AI/ML industry trends, including advances in LLMs, advances in Generative AI, multi‑agentic solutions, Digital Twins, chatbot capabilities, hallucination handling, and SaaS‑based AI, translating these trends into Pandora’s AI roadmap.

Solution Design:
Drive the solution architecture for AI and ML use cases, ensuring alignment with business objectives and engineering standards. Collaborate with various teams to design AI and machine learning models that enhance digital ecosystem across the value chain: from intelligent manufacturing through to omnichannel personalisation.

Capability Assessment and Acquisition:
Lead evaluations and integrations of third‑party AI SaaS solutions. Guide build vs. buy decisions.

Governance and Best Practices:
Develop and enforce architecture frameworks that prioritize security, scalability, and performance in all AI‑related implementations. Champion data governance and ethical AI practices, ensuring solutions are compliant, transparent, and aligned with industry standards.

Collaboration with Cross‑functional Teams:
Work closely with the Data & AI platform team and other engineering departments to ensure AI architecture supports scalability and operational goals, including integrating data pipelines, MLOps, and real‑time event streaming solutions.

Non‑Functional Requirements (NFRs) Compliance:
Ensure that all AI solutions adhere to strict NFRs, including high availability, fault tolerance, and security, suitable for enterprise‑scale AI deployments.

Technical Oversight:
Provide hands‑on guidance in the architecture and deployment of AI models, including implementing proof of concept models and conducting code reviews. Dedicate approximately 15% of time to hands‑on coding for prototyping and PoCs.

Extensive experience in AI and ML architectures, including knowledge of LLMs, traditional ML, Generative AI and other advanced AI concepts, chatbot frameworks, hallucination mitigation techniques, and other advanced AI concepts.

Prior experience as a Solution Architect or similar role, with demonstrated success in deploying AI/ML platforms and tools.

Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, and AI/ML tools within cloud environments.

Strong proficiency in designing AI architectures, particularly in areas like Mar Tech, digital retail, and personalization.

Familiarity with architectural frameworks like TOGAF or Zachman and expertise in Domain‑Driven Design (DDD).

Hands‑on experience with MLOps, cloud‑native solutions, big data and AI platforms, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Azure Resource Manager, Databricks, Fabric for data platforms.

Proficiency in handling and integrating SaaS‑based AI solutions and managing interoperability within a complex tech landscape.

Knowledge of Event‑Driven and Microservices Architectures to support real‑time data processing and AI interactions.

Strong communicator, able to convey complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders and influence strategic decisions.

A leader with a collaborative mindset, capable of driving cross‑functional initiatives and ensuring alignment with Pandora’s AI vision.

Experience with security practices, compliance, and cost management in AI solutions.
