responsibilities
creating and maintaining spatial data and linkages to various databases in an enterprise gis environment. Work may include digitizing paper‑based datasets, geocoding, interpreting surveys and building plans, reading and interpreting descriptions pertaining to spatial boundaries, gis database design and creation, interpretation of remotely sensed imagery, cartography and related work as required.
qualifications and experience- a bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems (cis), geographic information systems (gis) or a bachelor's degree in any field with at least fifteen (15) semester hours in geographic information systems (gis) from an accredited college or university
* and one (1) year of progressively responsible experience in the support, design and/or implementation of geographic information database mapping systems (gis) involving esri, qgis, cad, and/or mobile device applications. - or: five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the support, design and/or implementation of geographic information database mapping systems (gis) involving esri, qgis, cad, and/or mobile device applications.
