responsibilities

• developing, implementing, monitoring, and directing enterprise security strategies for the city of new orleans.
• establishing and amending security policies that protect network, systems, and data environments.
• presenting reports on security performance at engineering, management, and executive levels.
• supporting reporting mechanisms to capture information on the current status of the environment.
• standardizing all incident identification, tracking, and reporting procedures.
• investigating and recommending methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
• providing managerial and technical guidance for all security projects in complex networked environments.
• related work as required.

employees may work a fixed or rotating shift, saturdays and emergencies. Employees are considered essential and must report to work in declared emergencies.

this position requires a one-year probationary period. A rating of training and experience weighted 100% will be used; credit will only be given for related experience gained within the last ten (10) years.
