SR. MANAGER / DIRECTOR OF CLAIMS

IMT Insurance is now hiring for the position of Sr. Manager / Director of Claims where you would be responsible for leading and managing Casualty/Workers’ Compensation claims operations. This role ensures timely, fair, and cost-effective resolution of claims, while driving strategic initiatives, regulatory compliance, team performance, and customer satisfaction. You will champion operational excellence, continuous improvement across respective claims divisions and a culture rooted in trust, integrity, and accountability.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

  • Lead the daily operations of the assigned claims division (Casualty/Workers’ Compensation).
  • Develop and implement claims strategies aligned with company goals and industry best practices.
  • Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and innovation.
  • Serve as a key advisor to senior leadership on claims trends, risks, regulatory, and opportunities.
  • Supervise and mentor claims managers, claims representatives, and support staff.
  • Establish performance metrics and conduct regular evaluations to ensure service excellence.
  • Provide guidance on complex, high-exposure claims and litigation matters.
  • Ensure claims are handled in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
  • Oversee resolution of escalated claims and manage complex litigation and settlement processes.
  • Direct and supervise litigation, department complaints, and regulatory inquiries.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and industry developments to ensure compliance and competitiveness.
  • Maintain legal, statistical, and operational reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Accountable for cost control, work force planning, results, and personnel of assigned claims division.
  • Serve as the company liaison with E&O carriers and reinsurance partners
  • Partner with finance and actuarial teams to analyze claims data and trends.
  • Recommend enhancements to claims processes, systems, and service models.
  • Identify and implement technology solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Confidentiality and professionalism is required at all times.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree, industry certifications, or a JD preferred
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in P&C claims, with at least 10 years in a leadership role with direct personnel oversight and management.
  • Specialized experience in Casualty/Workers’ Compensation claims is essential.
  • Extensive knowledge in claims management, insurance regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to navigate complex situations and provide constructive feedback.
  • High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and organizational discipline.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
