Job DescriptionThe Relationship Manager develops, leads, and contributes to the growth and profitability of consumer and small commercial business through the management of the branch portfolio including deposits, loans, fees, and expenses. Leads, coaches, and motivates the branch team to deliver exceptional customer service through solutions and referrals. Responsible for growth by focusing and delivering deepening customer relationships through needs-based selling of products and services.
- Provides people with management leadership by hiring the top talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing employee performance, promoting teamwork and handling any/all performance issues.
- Oversees and leads a branch while growing talent, developing skills, promoting career growth, supporting project/initiatives success, and achieving business results.
- Accountable for achieving branch and individual performance metrics.
- Requires knowledge of business, banking, and bank operations.
- Requires process management knowledge and knowledge of risk for team processes.
- Acts as the highest point of escalation/contact within the branch for issues brought forward by customers or other internal partners.
- Originates loan applications, handles all conditions of lending, and conducts loan closings.
- Maintains an active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry).
- Continuously demonstrates strong adherence to Company policies and procedures, as well as company values.
- Travel Required:
Some travel.
- 3+ years relevant experience required (retail, customer service, and/or financial services industry).
- Business development skills, including ability to conceptualize and implement strategies.
- Small Business and Consumer Lending experience.
- Knowledge of bank products and services as well as an understanding of branch operations and security.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities, strategically aligning efforts and activities to meet brand goals and objectives.
- Strong financial analysis skills.
- Strong presentation, analytical, interpersonal, and collaborative skills with all levels of internal and external customer.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate team members.
