Job DescriptionThe Shipping Manager will oversee the shipping and receiving operations, manage a team, ensure accurate and timely shipments, maintain inventory levels, develop policies, identify improvements, communicate across departments, and ensure compliance with regulations.
Responsibilities- Oversee the shipping and receiving operations of the company
- Manage a team of shipping and receiving clerks
- Ensure all shipments are processed accurately and on time
- Maintain inventory levels
- Develop and implement shipping policies and procedures
- Identify areas for improvement in the shipping process
- Communicate with other departments to ensure shipping needs are met
- Ensure compliance with all shipping regulations and requirements
- 5+ years of experience in shipping and receiving
- 2+ years of experience in a management role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Knowledge of shipping regulations and requirements
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping software
