Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a General Manager – Marine Services to lead and scale a marine services operation supporting commercial vessels. This role requires a hands‑on leader capable of setting a strategic vision, building structure, and driving execution across service, operations, and personnel. The position is focused on elevating performance, aligning teams, and creating clarity in a fast‑paced, service‑driven, 24/7 environment.
Duties
- Establish and implement a clear strategic vision and operating plan
- Translate goals into actionable plans with measurable outcomes
- Lead, coach, and hold accountability across all levels of the organization
- Align service delivery with customer expectations and financial performance
- Oversee day‑to‑day operations including service, repairs, installations, and field response
- Ensure 24/7 operational readiness
- Build and refine processes to enhance efficiency and consistency
- Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality, and service delivery
- Build a strong leadership team and high‑performance culture
- Set clear expectations, implement performance metrics, and develop talent
- Foster a culture of ownership and customer‑first execution
- Manage P&L, budgeting, and cost controls
- Improve margins through effective planning and operations
- Collaborate with executive leadership on growth and capital planning
- Track KPIs and adjust operations based on data‑driven insights
- Maintain relationships with key clients and industry partners
- Ensure service compliance with contractual, regulatory, and industry standards
- Proven experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, or similar senior leadership role
- Background in marine services, maritime operations, industrial services, or technical service industries
- Ability to build structure, lead diverse teams, and drive measurable results
- Operationally focused with strong strategic thinking abilities
- Experience leading 24/7 or on‑call service operations
- Financial acumen including budget management and performance analysis
- Strong leadership presence and ability to gain trust from technical and non‑technical teams
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, marine environment that may include time aboard vessels or in field service areas
- Must be able to respond to operational needs after hours or on‑call as necessary
- Capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds as part of field assessments
