**** Athletic Director

* Position Overview:
** Under the general supervision and direction of the Director of the University Laboratory School, the Athletics Director is responsible for the oversight and organization of all aspects of the school's athletic program and to foster a positive and rewarding experience for student-athletes.
*
* Job Responsibilities:
**** Administration (40%)
** Develop, manage and supervise all athletic programs to ensure that the ULS Athletic Department is compliant with all applicable federal, state and local laws and university/school policies and procedures;
Oversee all LHSAA requirements for ULS and ensure those requirements are successfully completed this includes, but not limited to: eligibility and GPA paperwork;
Serve as the school's liaison to the LHSAA, as well as represent the University Laboratory School in all athletic meetings and associations;
Oversees the hiring, development, training and evaluation of coaching staff;
Prepare, implement, and manage the school’s athletic budget, with final approval from the ULS Director;
Organizes routine coaches’ meetings to review expectations, guidelines, and procedures/policies;
Review and revise all athletic handbooks annually and ensure they are current in all applicable state and university laws, policies and procedures;
Oversee compliance with all Athletic Training policies and procedures
** Operations (30%)
** Oversee the distribution, collection, storage, upkeep, and replacement of all school athletic uniforms and equipment;
Oversee all athletic facilities and ensure they are well-maintained and equipped to host athletic contests and practices;
Ensure that all athletic equipment, facilities, fields, and courts are safe for daily use;
Oversee the travel/transportation for all away athletic contests;
Responsible for securing the necessary number of qualified officials for each home athletic contest;
Oversee the management of the athletic website and social media platforms
** Supervision (20%)
** Directly supervises associate athletic directors, coaching staff, athletic trainers, and athletic support staff
Other duties as assigned **(10%)

* Minimum Qualifications:
** Bachelors Degree7 years related experience

** Bachelor's degree3+ years experience in K-12 school setting, school administration, athletic programs

** This position regularly engages in financial matters including handling credit cards, cash, grant funds, or other university funds, and must undergo a credit check per FASOP HR-04.This position and/or position's responsibilities require work directly with minors. Fingerprinting and a National Sex Offender Registry check are required per FASOP HR-04.This position will require a physical evaluation based on the physical demands required.##
