Manage on-board service extra board personnel and provide administrative support for road operations. Address employee needs and issues promptly and effectively. Administer on-board revenue accounting, including distributing meal checks, reviewing and submitting employee accounting data, and auditing collections and credits.

• Ensure on-board personnel comply with corporate policies and procedures for customer service, service recovery, accounting, FDA requirements, safety, and grooming.
• Implement operational processes to maintain quality and consistency in day-to-day operations, including personnel training and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise employee development, counseling, and disciplinary actions.
• Coordinate crew base management, including staffing, training, and disciplinary measures.
• Implement divisional safety plans to ensure compliance among all employees and administer on-board revenue accounting functions.

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Plus 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or relevant experience.
• Plus 5 years of relevant work experience.

• Skilled in managing crew base operations, including recruitment, staffing, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Knowledgeable in ensuring adherence to corporate policies, safety regulations, and industry standards related to crew operations and personnel management.
• Proficient in developing and implementing training programs to enhance crew member skills, ensure compliance with service requirements, and address regulatory mandates.
• Capable of implementing operational processes that optimize crew base efficiency, maintain service quality, and align with business objectives.
• Experienced in resolving personnel issues, conflicts, and grievances effectively while fostering a positive work environment.

The salary for the Mgr Crew Base I is 103,400 and 108,400 for Mgr Crew Base II. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. Depending on an employee’s assigned worksite or location, Amtrak may consider a geo-pay differential to be applied to the employee’s base salary. Amtrak may offer additional incentive and pay programs to recognize and reward our employees, including a short-term incentive bonus based upon factors such as individual and company performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
