Job Summary:

The position will ensure the safety and quality of all processes and products within the Rembrandt, IA Further Processing facility. You will verify and validate food safety and quality systems to ensure proper and safe operation, while analyzing data to identify patterns and trends in quality control results.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Perform and monitor operation of all Clean in Place (CIP) systems, including washer temperatures, pressures, conductivity tests, silo levels, and egg temperatures.
  • Maintain and enforce quality assurance programs.
  • Oversee analytical and microbiological testing of products and facility conditions.
  • Manage documentation procedures and ensure timely completion of reports, logs, and paperwork.
  • Lead and coach sanitation practices.
  • Maintain and improve the Master Sanitation Schedule.
  • Manage, oversee, train, and evaluate sanitation employees.
  • Audit CIP circuit accuracy and perform investigations when required.
  • Coordinate with the chemical supply company and ensure deficiencies are corrected.
  • Track and trend chemical usage data.
  • Prepare and maintain sanitation SOPs.
  • Perform sanitation tasks as needed to support operations.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, REI safety regulations, and company procedures.
  • Understand and interpret company, industry, state, and federal regulations.
  • Enforce procedures outlined in Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, supporting SQF and third-party audits.
  • Perform other assigned tasks.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Required:

  • 3–7 years of experience in the food industry.
  • HACCP knowledge and application experience.
  • Broad understanding of chemistry and microbiology.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently or in a team.
  • Proven leadership, motivation, and problem-solving abilities.

Office equipment: fax, copier, computers, printers, telephone, hand-held radios, calculators.
