Location Description

Michael Foods, Inc. located in Lenox, Iowa and often called the "Pearl of the Prairie" is where you can find small town living, focused on family and friends, with big city amenities not far from reach in Des Moines, Omaha, and Kansas City. Located in southwest Iowa, Taylor county, with a population of around 1400, the Lenox area reaches far beyond the city limits with beautiful and productive fields of corn, beans, and other croplands.

Lenox holds an amazing four day Rodeo every July and is home to a beautiful 36‑9 hole golf course, several fishing and boating lakes, great area hunting, a beautiful city park with swimming pool, and many picnic parks. The MFI location in Lenox produces primarily pre‑cooked egg patties. Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The role involves ensuring proper pumping and mixing of various egg products while adhering to safety and food quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Follow safety procedures and use personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Connect and inspect product lines for daily production.
  • Load tankers with accurate product weights.
  • Pull samples for lab testing.
  • Monitor product quality, solids, and cooling.
  • Understand and manage ice builder and cooling procedures.
  • Set up and coordinate silo assignments.
  • Complete necessary paperwork for HACCP compliance.
  • Operate CIP (Clean‑In‑Place) systems.
  • Handle chemicals properly.
  • Work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Maintain good manufacturing practices (GMPs).
  • Collaborate with USDA and other departments.
  • Prepare liquid schedules and communicate with drivers.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy workplace.
  • Maintain sanitary conditions and report any issues affecting food safety and quality.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Perform other assigned duties.

Preferred Education, Experience, and

Skills:

  • Less than high school education.
Qualifications Summary of Additional Requirements

Language

Skills:

  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to present information effectively in one‑on‑one and small group settings.

Mathematical

Skills:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) with two‑digit numbers.
  • Ability to handle units of American money, weight measurement, volume, and distance.

The pay range for this position is $18.50 to $22.50 per hour.
