Requisition
The Material Handler is primarily responsible for the transfer of raw materials, parts, and finished products between various production areas and internal and/or external warehouses. Day‑to‑day duties include delivering parts to the assembly line with the use of equipment in a timely manner to meet production schedules and monitoring inventory levels of materials. The role follows a Monday‑Thursday 6:00 AM–4:30 PM schedule, with occasional overtime as needed.
EssentialDuties And Responsibilities
- Delivers parts to production areas in a timely manner
- Counts material, equipment, or supplies as requested and reports totals or updates inventory records
- Prepares a list of depleted items, as well as defective or unusable items
- Locates and extracts information from files or online locations as requested
- Immediately reports all safety incidents/accidents to their supervisor
- Participates in weekly, monthly, semi‑annual, and annual physical inventories by entering data into the system and supporting the overall inventory process
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write notes and memos
- Mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division for all units of measure
- Clear verbal communication in one‑on‑one conversations
- Strong problem‑solving skills
- Prior material handling experience in a warehouse/industrial environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Reading, writing, comprehension, and verbal communication in English
- Capability to operate any Power Industrial Vehicle (PIV) – testing required
- Attention to detail
- Willingness to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing
- Good hand‑eye coordination
- Ability to climb stairs, bend, sit, stand, walk, reach with arms, push, pull, and use hands and fingers to feel and handle material for extended periods
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repeatedly and regularly, including stooping, squatting, crawling, and kneeling as needed
- Manufacturing and warehouse environment
