CNC Machinist - Entry Level/Machinist 1 (Mills) - 2nd shift Talent Acquisition Recruiter at Laitram, LLC
Laitram Machine Shop, L.L.C., a division of Laitram, L.L.C., and a supplier of quality, high precision components has a position available for an Entry Level Machinist working on our 2nd shift. This individual will be involved with the machining of a variety of materials to produce parts that meet dimensional and workmanship standards per Laitram Machine Shop's Quality Management System.

Responsibilities- Load stock into CNC machine work holding devices and monitor the machining process.
- Perform visual and physical inspection of parts produced per Laitram Machine Shop Quality Management System.
- Perform accurate transactions (clock on, clock off, entering quantities, closing out operation when done, filling in appropriate paperwork).
- Clean equipment used and keep work area clean/organized.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, working with fractions).
- Self‑managed individual able to work well independently or in a team environment.
- Flexible and responsive to changing demands.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform essential job requirements identified in the Functional Job Description for this position.
- Experience using inspection tooling (i.e., micrometers, calipers, gages) to accurately measure part features.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Knowledge of G and M codes.
- Experience with manual and automated CMMs.
- Experience with GD&T.
- Experience with FDM 3D Printing.
