Location: Port Allen

Quality Control Inspector (Contract)

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $27.19/hour

Duration: 6 months

Location: Port Allen, LA

Schedule:

  • Primary:
    Monday–Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
  • May shift to Tuesday–Friday based on production needs
  • Potential 2nd shift: Monday–Thursday, 12:00 PM – 10:00 PM
    • $2.00/hour shift differential
Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector ensures manufacturing, packaging, and material handling activities comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and applicable regulatory standards. This role supports product quality, compliance, and patient safety within pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform line/area clearances, in-process inspections, and incoming material inspections
  • Monitor manufacturing and warehouse compliance, including SPC/SQC performance
  • Control and label materials based on quality status
  • Verify labels after final printing

    Support production schedules and planning as needed
  • Assist with quality procedures, audits, investigations, and CAPAs
  • Complete special projects and other quality-related tasks as assigned
Required Competencies
  • Working knowledge of cGMPs and FDA-regulated manufacturing environments
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
  • Clear written and verbal communication
  • Ability to enforce quality standards while collaborating cross-functionally
Education & Experience
  • Associate’s degree in a technical or scientific field required
  • Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field preferred
  • Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred
  • Quality certifications (ASQ CQE, CQA, etc.)
    preferred
