Structural Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a Structural Flux-Cored Welder to fabricate and repair carbon-steel frames in accordance with AWS standards. This role combines blueprint reading, structural welding, metal fabrication, material preparation, joint assembly, and quality control, with opportunities to advance to a Lead Welder position.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints for steel-frame fabrication and repair.
• Perform structural welding on carbon-steel components.
• Fabricate, prepare, measure, and assemble metal materials and joints.
• Inspect welds through self-inspection and a combination of quality-control methods.
• Follow AWS standards and established safety requirements.
• Maintain quality throughout fabrication and repair work.
• Clean and organize the worksite upon completion.

Preferred Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural welding experience.
• Training in welding or metal fabrication.
• Experience with Flux-Cored Arc Welding.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and making precise measurements.
• Knowledge of welding inspection and metal fabrication.
