Pastor Hillside Baptist Church

Hillside Baptist Church is seeking a full-time lead pastor that fosters personal and
spiritual growth within each age group. This position shall serve alongside of and
be accountable to the Deacon body and members of Hillside Baptist Church. This
role includes discipleship, event coordination, and outreach programs to help
cultivate growth amongst all age groups.

Qualification Requirements
Completion of a Seminary Program
(Examples: Southeastern, New Orleans, Dallas Theological, or Southwestern)
Previous experience as a pastor, associate pastor, youth minister, or other
church leadership role. Spiritually mature with commitment to the Baptist
faith and Conservative beliefs.
Strong communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills. A willingness to
embrace both traditional and contemporary service styles. Perceptive
leadership skills that cultivate ideas, while encouraging and valuing input
from current staff and congregation members.

Key Responsibilities
Delivering engaging and Biblically-grounded sermons on Sunday mornings
and evenings. Effectively leading small group Bible study on Wednesday
evenings.
Offering support, counseling, and visitation to members throughout various
life stages such as marriage, death, illness, homebound, etc.
Leading outreach programs and making connections throughout the
community through Mission projects. Volunteer at weekly Release Time
during the school year.
Coordinating staff meetings, overseeing some church operations, and
maintain consistent office hours on-location.
