RN Staff Nurse Float Pool PRN – LCMC Health

Join LCMC Health as a full‑time RN in our in‑house staffing float pool. You will be ready, willing, and able to provide quality care wherever it is most needed. You are a compassionate, flexible, and self‑starter nurse who thrives in a variety of care settings.

• Prioritize, coordinate, and delegate all care touchpoints for your patients, performing priority technical procedures as assigned.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure appropriate direct patient care.
• Maintain and advocate a safe environment for everyone.
• Monitor and engage with patients, families, and appropriate care team members concerning significant events or patient condition changes.
• Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulatory and accrediting agencies (patient safety, infection control, HIPAA, etc.) and adhere to LCMC Health’s policies and procedures.
• Execute Joint Commission infection control and environment of care requirements.
• Prevent and treat wounds.
• Perform proper hand‑offs while identifying and communicating problems to ensure continuity of care, efficient throughput, consistent communications, and an exceptional patient experience.
• Communicate patient information, lab data, nutrition needs, and other significant findings to the care team, supervisors, or physicians as needed.
• Keep patients and families informed and initiate patient and family education using appropriate resources and continuum of care services.
• Contribute to the team by assisting others without being asked.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when tasks cannot be performed effectively, safely, or independently.

• Current nursing license to practice in Louisiana, as defined by the Louisiana State Board of Nursing.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience.
