Position: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner-F/T Clinic
Location: Amite

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care and be passionate about providing high-quality healthcare to children from infancy through adolescence. This role involves working closely with families to ensure the best outcomes for our young patients, including those with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations of pediatric patients.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in children, including pain management strategies.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with families and healthcare teams.
  • Provide education to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Collaborate with specialists, to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
  • Utilize electronic health record systems.
  • Advocate for children with disabilities, ensuring they receive appropriate resources and support.

Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Nursing with a focus on Pediatric Nurse Practitioner studies.
  • Current certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP) or equivalent licensure.
  • Experience in family clinic settings preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications may be beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while managing individual patient needs.
