Job Summary
This RN position applies the nursing process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN leads licensed and ancillary team members, ensuring quality patient outcomes, cultural sensitivity, and support of unit and department goals.
EducationRequired:
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
None required.
Certifications- Current RN license in state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred:
Certification in clinical specialty area.
- Proficiency in computers, software, and web‑based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication, presenting information clearly and professionally.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Use the nursing process in patient care delivery.
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and interprofessional groups.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the Interdisciplinary Team.
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change for optimal outcomes.
- Promote customer satisfaction, employee morale, and professional nursing improvement.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Exertion of 50–100 lbs occasionally or 25–50 lbs frequently. Requires walking or standing, pushing/pulling, and exposure to blood, body fluids, and potentially hazardous medications or waste. Occupational risk for communicable diseases is present.
