American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for an Emergency Department position requiring at least 1 year of ER experience and prior travel experience.

• Work in a combined adult/pediatric general Emergency Department
• Non-trauma Emergency Department setting within a STEMI and Stroke Certified facility
• Patient ratio of 1 to 4
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Rotating weekend requirement
• No on-call or floating requirements
• Epic EMR experience required

• Active LA or Compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS required; TNCC preferred
• Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
• Prior travel experience required
• Epic charting experience required
• Experience with emergency medications and IV vasopressors
• Skilled in starting and maintaining IVs, phlebotomy, and IV therapy
• Experience managing patients with cardiac dysrhythmias and multisystem organ dysfunction
• Experience with triage and isolation precautions/PPE
• Preferred skills include chest tube management, intubation, blood product administration, central line care, procedural sedation, gunshot wound care, and care of neuro-trauma and spinal cord/traumatic brain injury patients

• Responsibilities include emergency cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, and ortho trauma care
• Royal blue scrubs required
• Permanent staff must be separated from the health system for at least 1 year before being eligible for travel positions
• Local candidates within 75 miles accepted at the local rate
