American Traveler is hiring an experienced Operating Room RN with at least 3 years of neuro and ortho spine surgery experience for a teaching hospital assignment.

• Operating Room unit in a teaching hospital setting
• Day shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 8:30 AM to 9:00 PM
• Specializes in neuro & ortho spine and craniotomy procedures
• Experience in general surgery, ENT, and robotics is a plus
• Neuro call required
• Possible assignment to an Emergency Team during facility emergencies, requiring extended stay or relief team participation

• Active RN license (Compact or LA) required in hand prior to submission
• BLS certification required
• AHA certifications required
• 3 years of neuro surgery and ortho spine experience required
• Teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel RN experience required
• First-time travelers not accepted for this unit
• Circulate/Telemetry and Conscious Sedation skills preferred

• Must be willing to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually:
  Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
• Does not accept local candidates; must live over 65 miles from facility (per driver's license address)
• Candidates separated from Ochsner Health as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a 1-year break before returning as a traveler
• RTO must be listed on profile and discussed during interview to avoid offer rescission
• Orientation held 5 days a week
• 2 Manager/Supervisor references required to obtain clearance to start (Charge RNs not accepted)
• Driver's license required for consideration
