QA​/QC Inspector – Roofing

Position Overview:

Meyer Engineers is seeking an experienced QA/QC Inspector with extensive roofing expertise to support our growing project workload in the New Orleans area. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge of roofing systems, construction quality control practices, and inspection procedures. This role requires regular travel throughout the greater New Orleans region to support business and project needs.

• Perform QA/QC inspections on roofing systems for construction and repair projects
• Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, codes, and industry standards
• Document inspection findings, prepare daily reports, and maintain accurate project records
• Assist in coordinating quality-related activities with project managers, field teams, and clients
• Identify deficiencies and verify corrective actions are completed to standard
• Conduct progress inspections, testing, and verification as required
• Travel to project sites within the New Orleans region to support ongoing business needs

• Extensive experience with roofing systems, installation practices, and roofing QA/QC procedures
• Prior experience working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers—particularly with EM 385-1-1, submittal processes, and USACE quality control requirements—is highly preferred
• Knowledge of construction inspection standards, safety practices, and quality management systems
• Strong documentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple project assignments

• 3–5+ years of roofing inspection or roofing-related QA/QC experience
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the New Orleans area
• High school diploma required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field is a plus
• Proficiency with basic computer and reporting software
