Quality Assurance Manager

Allen's Electric Motor Service, Inc. (AEMS) is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the quality program across our shop and field service work. AEMS is an industrial service company founded in 1979 and based in Vivian, Louisiana.

We repair, rewind and test electric motors, pumps, generators and other rotating equipment for petrochemical, power generation, pulp and paper, manufacturing, municipal and other industrial customers. The Quality Assurance Manager makes sure every job that leaves our shop meets our standards, our customers' specifications and recognized industry practices.

• Maintain and update the AEMS Quality Manual, quality procedures and work instructions, and keep them aligned with EASA industry standards and customer requirements.
• Lead internal audits and prepare the company for customer, industry and third-party audits, including corrective action follow-through.
• Oversee incoming inspection, in-process checks and final inspection on motors, pumps, generators and other rotating equipment.
• Review electrical and mechanical test documentation, including insulation resistance, polarization index, surge, hipot, vibration and run/load testing, for accuracy and completeness before equipment ships.
• Investigate nonconformances, customer complaints and warranty returns; lead root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Maintain quality records, job travelers and final test reports so each job is fully documented and traceable.
• Review customer purchase orders and specifications for quality and testing requirements before work begins.
• Train shop and field personnel on quality procedures, documentation and inspection standards.
• Track quality metrics such as rework, returns and on-time documentation, and report results to leadership.
• Support safety and environmental programs as they relate to shop processes.

• 5 or more years of quality assurance or quality control experience in an industrial, manufacturing or repair environment.
• Working knowledge of electric motors, pumps or other rotating equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, nameplate data and test reports.
• Experience writing and maintaining quality manuals, procedures and records.
• Experience conducting internal audits and managing corrective actions.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators) and calibration practices.
• Strong attention to detail and clear written and verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work in an active shop environment, including standing, walking and working around heavy equipment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Pay is based on experience and qualifications.
