Based in Reno, NV, FAR Inspections has been in business for over 9 years.
Responsibilities- Complete most inspections in 5‑6 minutes.
- Finish each inspection within 4 days of assignment.
- Report general property conditions and determine occupancy based on industry standards.
- Take 9+ photos with brief comments.
- Complete a short form in a mobile application.
- Drive extended periods making numerous stops during the day within the assigned territory.
- Computer with an internet connection.
- Reliable vehicle (good gas mileage is a plus as you will pay for your own gas).
- Smartphone (Android or iPhone).
- Printer.
- Pass a standard background check using a valid driver’s license.
This is a 1099 position. Each inspection has a flat rate, varying by county and volume. Although paid per inspection, you can expect to earn the equivalent of $30‑$40 per hour. Depending on county and urban/rural location, you may complete 20‑500 inspections per month, working 2‑30 hours per week. Lower volume counties have higher rates and higher volume counties have lower rates.
There is no set number of inspections per month, but the work is consistent month‑to‑month. Earn more as you become established, have greater availability to inspect, or are willing to cover a larger territory. No additional mileage reimbursement above the flat fee per inspection.
