Job Summary: Timbalier Resources is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Land Rights Acquisition Specialist to support public and private infrastructure projects throughout the region. This role involves land and right-of-way acquisition, title research, and direct engagement with property owners on complex infrastructure initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have experience reviewing and analyzing property ownership and title information and will be comfortable operating independently in the field while coordinating closely with a project management team. This role requires strong critical thinking, organizational skills, and confidence in negotiating with property owners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and support public and private land rights and right-of-way acquisition activities
- Conduct title research, including review of ownership records, conveyances, encumbrances, and related documentation
- Assist with or manage negotiations with property owners related to land and right-of-way interests
- Meet directly with property owners to discuss project impacts, access, and acquisition needs
- Coordinate acquisition and title efforts with internal project management teams
- Track assignments, documentation, and progress using project management and land acquisition software
- Maintain organized records and provide regular status updates to project leadership
- Represent the company professionally in all stakeholder interactions
Qualifications:
- Must be located in the New Orleans / Metairie region
- Access to a computer and printer/scanner
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Experience performing title research or working with property title documentation
- Comfortable working in new and evolving software systems
- Strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Ability to self-manage schedule and meet project deadlines
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling title closings
- Experience working on large-scale right-of-way or infrastructure projects
- Background in land acquisition, real estate, title, surveying, or legal support related to infrastructure development
