Laboratory Research Technician – Tulane University
SummaryThe Lab Research Technician conducts research aimed at understanding the atmospheric chemistry impact of space exploration activities. This position conducts research work including developing model code to simulate and project the emissions of aerosols associated with these activities, their transport and transformation in the whole atmosphere, and their cascading effect on atmospheric chemistry and radiative transfer. The position contributes to data analysis and organization and may also aid in paper and proposal preparation.
RequiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Extraordinary attention to detail in organization
- Familiar with large-scale atmospheric chemistry and transport models and high-performance computing environment
- Ability to conduct data analysis and visualization using Matlab, Python, or other languages
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree with one year of directly related experience
- Knowledge or interest in learning and use CESM-CAM-WACCM model
