Instructor, Biochemistry – Tulane University School of Medicine
The Tulane Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in Downtown New Orleans is recruiting for a Research Instructor, a faculty position.
The Instructor’s responsibilities will aim to enhance the research programs on cancer mechanisms, tumor and cancer biology, and translational cancer research including tumor initiation and progression, tumor microenvironment, cancer stem cell biology, genome instability, epigenetics, non‑coding RNAs, anti‑cancer drug discovery, and structural biology. These research areas complement the existing programs in the department and at the Tulane Cancer Center.
The candidate is expected to design and perform experiments, tabulate and record experimental data, and analyze and interpret experimental results using genetic, genomic, biochemical, and molecular methods to investigate basic biological questions in development and Drosophila tumor models. Additionally, the candidate will work with the PI to submit manuscripts and grant applications and mentor junior lab members.
