The postdoctoral fellow will conduct independent research on retrotransposon biology. This position involves participation in research projects focused on the genomic content, expression, mobilization mechanisms, and disease contributions of retrotransposons. Studies will use genetically modified animal models as well as in vitro and ex vivo systems, including cell lines and both humans and animal tissues. The Postdoc fellow will plan and perform experiments, analyze and summarize data, and contribute to writing manuscripts and grant proposals in collaboration with the Principal Investigator.
Research results will be submitted for publication in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
