Position Summary:
The Neuroscience Center of Excellence is seeking a Staff Scientist or Staff Scientist Senior, depending upon qualifications. Successful candidates should have a PhD or equivalent degree and must be able to work independently; they will be responsible for studying imaging, immunocytochemistry, single‑cell genomics/epigenomics, and dry eye in animal models. Prior research experience in imaging, immunocytochemistry, molecular biology, epigenetic regulation of gene expression, and bioinformatics is highly desired.
The team member will perform team‑based science research, design, organize, and conduct highly specialized and advanced experiments using established protocols, and sometimes develop new protocols. They will prepare and submit manuscripts, grant applications, present data at lab meetings, seminars, and national scientific meetings, assume general responsibility for scientific operations, and participate in training, supervision, and guidance of junior technicians, students, and postdoctoral fellows.
Minimum Qualifications:
PhD (or equivalent). Other acceptable degrees: MD, DDS, DVM. Discipline(s):
Neuroscience or related field.
Experience:
0–3 years for Staff Scientist Level; 3+ years for Senior Staff Scientist Level. Postdoctoral experience required.
