GENETICSJob Summary/Basic Functions

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow to join the laboratory of Dr. Rebecca Buckley in the Department of Genetics at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans. The laboratory is part of the NSF EPSCoR CREST Center for Adaptive Nanomotor Design, an interdisciplinary research center that integrates molecular biophysics, structural biology, computational modeling, and quantitative imaging to understand and engineer adaptive molecular machines.

The successful candidate will join a collaborative, federally funded research program investigating the biochemical and biophysical mechanisms that govern molecular motor function. Our research seeks to understand how allosteric regulation, mechanical forces, and motor coordination control intracellular transport and cytoskeletal organization in normal physiology and how disruption of these processes contributes to human disease. The position offers an outstanding opportunity for scientific independence, interdisciplinary collaboration, and professional development within a highly supportive research environment.
