Inside Sales Representative – New Orleans, LA Base pay range

$21.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Inside sales position, serving professional contractors, industrial and resale clients. Very diverse customer base and product offering of Industrial Grade Tools, Supplies, Safety products and related Accessories and Parts. Take inbound calls, e-mails and some walk‑in customers.

• Take inbound sales calls and respond to e‑mails from customers.
• Research and quote product as requested by customers.
• Create quotes and orders in our E.R.P. system.
• Communicate with the customer via phone and/or e‑mail.
• Work with suppliers to obtain pricing, availability and technical information to properly quote customers.
• Place purchase orders with vendors when product needs to be expedited.
• Act as a backup to retail counter sales as needed.
• Work with outside sales team to serve their customers as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Computer literate; know how to add, subtract and perform basic math; use a calculator.
• Effective verbal and written communication in English.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for many hours, and navigate stairs.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Good communication skills, neat and groomed appearance.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Industry experience preferred but not required.

• Willingness to pitch in and help whenever needed.
