Armed Security Officer (New Orleans, LA)

NOLA Protection Group a leader in professional security services in the New Orleans and surrounding area is currently accepting applications for the role of an Armed Professional Security Officer.

Armed Security Officer is responsible for the safety and security of the facilities they protect. The officer acts as a visible deterrent to crime and client rule infractions and detects and reports suspicious, unsafe or criminal acts at or near their assigned posts, which may threaten the property, clients, guests or employees at the site.

• Must either be registered as a Security Officer with LSBPSE, or be able to meet requirements for registration, including:
• Be at least 21 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background and fingerprint check with the Louisiana State Police.
• Own your gun that meets LSBPSE requirements and requalify yearly.
• Complete 16 hours of necessary classroom training and complete firearms training.
• Must be in good physical condition to complete necessary assignments, which might include walking or standing for extended periods of time.
• Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat.
• Must have a professional appearance.
• Display exceptional customer service and communication skills.
• Must have open availability to work days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must have a valid driver’s license or Valid photo .
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Security, Law Enforcement, or Military Experience Required
