Security Technician

EXCEL Group is seeking an experienced and skilled Security Technician to join our team. The Security Technician will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s people, assets, and information by implementing and maintaining security systems, policies, and procedures.

• Install, configure, and maintain security systems, including surveillance cameras, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and alarm systems.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests of security equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Respond to security system alerts, troubleshoot technical issues, and perform necessary repairs or upgrades.
• Collaborate with the security team to design and implement security measures and protocols.
• Monitor security systems and analyze data to identify security breaches or vulnerabilities.
• Assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures.
• Train employees on security protocols, including the use of access control systems and emergency response procedures.
• Maintain accurate records of security incidents, maintenance activities, and equipment inventory.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging security technologies.

• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Certified Security Technician) preferred.
• Previous experience in security system installation, maintenance, or related roles is an advantage.
• Knowledge of security system hardware, software, and protocols.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Familiarity with local and national security regulations and standards.

• May require periodic evening, weekend, or on-call work for maintenance or emergency response.
• Physical demands may include lifting and carrying heavy equipment.

• 10 hour shifts

Note:
This job may require occasional telecommunication or travel to different locations for service calls.
