Structural Welder

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Structural Welder with strong red-iron experience to join our team on active construction projects. The ideal candidate can read structural drawings, safely weld and fit structural steel, and work efficiently with erection crews. This role requires a welder who understands how commercial steel buildings go together and can handle field welding in elevated and outdoor environments.

$30 per hour

• Perform structural welding on red-iron steel components (columns, beams, rafters, bar joists, bridging, etc.)
• Fit, align, and secure steel members according to drawings and field measurements
• Weld structural connections using SMAW and/or FCAW (stick & flux-core)
• Assist with steel erection tasks such as bolting, layout, rigging, and connecting
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and layout drawings
• Complete welds that meet AWS D1.1 standards
• Work safely on aerial lifts, ladders, and elevated platforms
• Collaborate with ironworkers, foremen, and site supervisors to maintain progress and quality
