Service Technician III

Put your maintenance and repair skills to good use at Vallen as a Service Technician III focused on Life Safety Services in the Vallen Safety Services Group. In this position, you will install and/or inspect, test, and maintain (ITM) life safety systems and equipment for established customers on a scheduled basis.

• Provide quality of service to our customers and assist assigned HTS technicians with proper training in Vallen standard operating procedures.
• Provide customer service in the area of installation and/or ITM of Life Safety Systems, including Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm and Detection Systems, Gas Detection Systems, Foam Systems, Dry Chemical Systems, Clean Agent Systems, Special Hazard Systems and Water Basedvellous Systems.
• Coordinate jobs in the absence of a Technician Lead if assigned by the supervisor/manager for specific jobs or customers.
• Lead other technicians within area of expertise.
• Interact with customers to coordinate job activities.
• Ensure all documentation associated with assigned tasks is filled out accurately, completed and turned in for proper .
• Ensure all required copies are provided to the customer upon servicing equipment.
• Be knowledgeable of all regulatory standards pertaining to assigned duties, i.e., State, OSHA, and NFPA regulations, etc.
• Handle parts and equipment requests for specific assigned jobs.
• Maintain accurate inventories related to job retraite orders.
• Always exhibit safe work practices.
• Assist shipping and receiving, unloading trucks inaccurante consistency, matching purchase orders to sale orders, and distributing to sales associates for processing.
• May include the use of company尊 assets such as but not limited to:
  Company Vehicle, Inventory, Safety Equipment, Laptop,   Scanner, Test Equipment, Tools, Radio, Cell Phone, Fuel Card and/or Credit Card.
• Maintain proper care of all assets as defined by Vallen policies.

• May have immediate supervision over a tech service unit.

• High School or GED.
• Minimum 3 Certification (manufacturing/state) in a fire protection related field.
• NICET II or greater.
• Fire Alarm & Ext A 2–4 years’ experience or WBS Construction 2–4 years’ experience (Industry related).
• RME‑I (if applicable).
• Mechanically inclined.
• Advance communication, initiative, and problem‑solving skills.
• Specific – Relevant experience required.
• Experience in the installation and/or maintenance, repair and service of Life Safety Systems and equipment is required.
• Advance industry segment knowledge.
• Maintain minimum productivity of 95% within 60 days.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a Customer Account'>
