Personal Trainer

Summary

This job description represents part‑time positions within the Department of Campus Recreation. Each position title is part of a pooled group of employees.

The Person al Trainer position will develop and implement safe and effective training programs using client goals as a guide. Personal trainers maintain the schedule, keep training appointments with clients, record and track progress, and provide education on the benefits of exercise and healthy lifestyles.

Personal training staff also lead small‑group boxing and kickboxing classes twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Boxing training experience and/or certification is preferred for those interested in leading these classes.

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Personal Training Certification from an accredited organization (AFAA, ACE, ACSM, etc.)
• Current American Red Cross Adult CPR/AED and Blood Borne Pathogen Professional Rescuer Certification, or ability to obtain within 2 months of employment
