Pay Range: $18.00-$21.00
Your RoleAre you known for your equipment operation skills and passionate about warehouse logistics and organization? Do you enjoy working on a dock in a clean and efficient warehouse environment? If so, this opportunity lets you execute essential operational processes and contribute to a safe and efficient warehouse operation.
What Are You Going To Do?- Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times, including collaboration, timely communication and instruction, and assistance with operations as necessary.
- Perform various manual labor tasks such as picking inventory, counting cargo, product and material, hand staging and loading goods; operate manual equipment such as a hand truck or pallet jack. Use hand tools to close/open containers, build or tear down crates, and handle packaging (standard or non-standard).
- Collaborate with the customer and CS team regarding outbound shipments and provide carrier updates.
- Coordinate receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within the assigned area. Prepare and assemble orders, move materials from receiving or production areas to storage or to other areas.
- Manage sorting and placement of materials on racks, shelves, pallets or bins according to predetermined characteristics; assist with more complex or multi-cell operations and be fully trained.
- Potential opportunity to serve as a lead operator in smaller teams or standard operations. Assist with training and providing basic work instructions to new hires or transfers.
- Complete or verify forms, documents, labels and other information to ensure inventory accuracy and successful receiving and/or delivery of goods; involves knowledge of various operations or goods and services.
- Identify operational or service concerns, notify appropriate co-workers, and assist with resolution. Monitor warehouse maintenance tasks such as sweeping floors, cleaning docks, proper storage of equipment, and basic preventative maintenance.
- Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED; typically at least two years of warehousing or related logistics experience, or successful completion of a rotation program. - Credentials:
Forklift Certification typically required in most operations within 3 to 6 months of hire; valid state driver’s license preferred. - Skills:
Ability to operate hand and power tools (hand truck, pallet jack) and basic proficiency in internet/web-based and job-specific software applications; ability to become forklift certified. - Characteristics:
Responds promptly and professionally to customer needs; works well in a team; able to read, comprehend and complete basic checklists, forms or related documents.
