As a Digital Production Specialist, you will be the technical expert responsible for preparing and managing product assets for both print and digital distribution. You support the Production team by guiding products through re‑print and lifecycle management to maintain inventory levels and ensure market availability. Your core responsibilities include converting legacy files or raw scans into compliant, print‑ready, and digital‑ready formats, and coordinating with editorial, marketing, and purchasing teams.

This role reports directly to the Director of Digital Production.

• Manage the end‑to‑end re‑print workflow for a large catalog of published products, prioritizing jobs based on inventory needs and sales history.
• Prepare and deliver files according to the technical requirements of external vendors and output types (offset, digital, print‑on‑demand).
• Execute pre‑press adjustments—color conversion, bleed/trim, font handling, layer clean‑up—using a detailed quality control checklist.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for final proof review and sign‑off.
• Generate and process high‑resolution digital product assets for online distribution channels, e‑commerce platforms, and marketing initiatives.
• Maintain digital products for online consumption, ensuring data and assets are correctly configured in inventory and fulfillment systems.
• Produce specialized assets such as web‑preview images for video and website product views, applying watermarks, resizing, and reformatting per platform specifications.
• Manage the creation of Search Inside the Book (SITB) content files for key online retailers (e.g., Amazon, Google Books).
• Help maintain the company’s digital archive, including retrieval, manipulation, and updating of product files.
• Troubleshoot and recover legacy or lost files using internal and external resources.
• Utilize and maintain product data across inventory, fulfillment, and product databases to ensure data integrity.

• 2+ years of professional experience in print production, graphic design, or pre‑press.
• Moderate proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat/Distiller).
• Basic knowledge of digital image editing and print file preparation (CMYK, spot colors).
• Basic understanding of pre‑press procedures, printer specifications, and quality assurance best practices.
• Familiarity with standard OS and hardware platforms (PC and Mac OS).
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple complex projects under tight deadlines.
• Strong collaboration skills within a team setting.

• Music training or general knowledge of musical concepts.

• Ability to manage competing priorities and work well under pressure.
• Experience with File Maker, AS400, Suitcase Fusion, ASANA, Slack, and/or FTP clients.

We are committed to fair and equitable compensation. The hourly range in Colorado is $18.58 – $30.96, with variable compensation including bonus.
