POSITION SUMMARY

Servtech, a Roeslein Company, is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead our team in our manufacturing facilities for the energy, mining, industrial power markets, and integrated bio‑energy solutions. This leader must have the desire to perform quality work safely, be detail‑oriented, and have superior customer focus while working within project budgets. This individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

This position requires active collaboration with the production department, project management group, electrical engineering group, procurement, and human resources.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for assisting management and peer group to lead, develop, and continuously improve the engineering and design team to complete engineering & design efforts toward project design, engineering, procurement, drafting, and product life‑cycle management of large‑scale manufactured industrial equipment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must be someone who represents the organization with the ability to lead by example, adhere to company standards, and resolve issues with urgency and professionalism.
  • Must comply with Roeslein & Associates’ core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships with employees.
  • This position will be responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training all new employees to ensure they have the knowledge and skills to perform their duties to the standard of the organization. This position will also be responsible for developing the team and providing feedback for annual performance evaluations.
  • Responsible for the escalation of employee issues and company violations to ensure the employee understands the policies and procedures of the organization. This position will create and deliver all employee disciplines with the support of Human Resources.
  • Performs all work in compliance with company standards, does not deviate from policies and procedures, and adheres to regulatory requirements.
  • This position will be the point of contact for the team and will respond timely to troubleshoot issues and avoid prolonged delays. Must be able to troubleshoot issues with complete resolution.
  • Identify all safety situations and report issues timely.
  • Promote a positive working environment to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Must meet deadlines while safely producing a quality product.
  • Must set and adjust employees’ rates of pay and hours of work in collaboration with the production manager.
  • Must have the ability to plan and direct the work of employees.
  • Must attend all manager meetings, training, and safety meetings as required.
  • Ability to manage one’s own schedule as well as recognize when engineers need assistance prioritizing tasks to meet deliverables.
  • Oversight and active involvement in the engineering and design schedule on a regular basis.
  • Communicate and align the mechanical engineering schedule with the electrical engineering and production teams.
  • Ability to help the engineering team on selecting and sizing equipment for fluid handling systems such as pumps, piping, valves, instrumentation, etc.
  • Ability to act as a technical resource and decision‑making authority to guide designs for safety, manufacturability, reliability, and within budgets.
  • Ability to review industry documents to guide designs, including ASME, ANSI, NEC, NFPA, ASTM, customer specifications, and further as required.
  • Ability to revise and write formal procedures to guide the engineering department.
